If you go to decision that means you’ve failed as a fighter to finish your opponent and GSP has failed to finish his opponents 6 times in a row now. Winning by decision is not a poor way to win you fuckin idiot. By winning via unaminous decision, that means that you have dominated your opponent for 3 or 5 rounds. St pierre won by decision but he won the fight fair and square. Fighters who are considered the best fighters p4p are acknowledged because of their achievements in mma. Not their performances you fuckin brain dead lunatic. so his record is unimpressive because 4 fights have went to decision? HE STILL BEAT them fair & square

A fighters greatness is determined by what they have accomplished in the sport. Gsp is a 6 time defending welterweight champion. Nobody in the welterweight division has had a longer title reign than gsp, so HOW DOES THAT MAKE GSP A SHIT FIGHTER?

He throws his shots to score points not to inflict damage, when he takes his opponent down he just lays and prays, goes for the occasional submission but doesn’t try to pull his opponents arm off! Everything he does is for the eyes of the Judges, he seems perfectly happy to win by decision all the time! SHIT!

If you wanna see a real fighter put “Anderson Silva tribute 2011 (new)” into the search box. You’ll see how a real fighter wins his fights, by beating up his opponent until they physically can’t continue … stoppage!

@mysoulo agreed..silva is just too strong, too fast, and just all around better than GSP…silvas KO power alone will end the fight in the 1st round haha…silva vs bones is a dream fight for me as well, they are both unpredictable, fight their own style, and go into a fight to win and give the fans something to be proud of
@jjohnson218 yeah this fight was boring… and so were the last couple… sonnen revitalizedsilvas fame by beating him up… everyone was going against silva for the MOST HORRIFIC title defenses of all time. literally have been quoted as such. leites and maia. silva has had 2 exciting fights in a row. gsp had some fun fights to watch against hughes. and gsp has fought 5 guys of the top 10 P4P list. silva has fought 0. top level fights are usually boring. silva has had missmatched fights

@msb314 I don’t think GSP is ready for Silva. Maybe in about a year if they fight at a catch weight and IF he can put on the extra pounds needed and still feel comfortable on his feet and IF he can get some “warm up” fights at the new weight. Lots of “ifs” but it’s not easy gaining “good” muscle weight NATURALLY without Steroids.
Once this is accomplished i think he’ll use Sonnen’s strategy.

@BRASCO7 yeah i dont doubt the were injured AFTER the fight. but he did not have injuries going INTO the fight that were serious. ive been stopped from being aloud to compete. thats why you see all these fights with guys taking it on 4 days notice. and im glad you brought up the ped testing… the reason why they didnt get stopped from fighting is because it takes around 2-6 weeks to run the tests. thats why sonnen got suspended a month later.
@gwl1983 lets look at it this way, If you and me were fighting for 25 minutes, and for that 25 minutes you outstuck me on my feet, you took me down several times throughout the fight, and hell, maybe you knock me down with a head kick. Based on effective grappling, striking, and octagon control who would of won the fight?

You dont have to be a finisher to be declared the winner of the fight. Some ppl even win by disqualification for fucks sake. Im not saying disqualification is a “proper” way to win, but fighters have won by DQ.

He has a lot of technical wins yes, but sod all finishes. Its HOW you win the fight that matters, decisions are bullcrap, if he’d beaten those top contenders properly then yeah he’d be the best but 5 out of the six title defences went to decision; he couldn’t beat the opponents so the Judges had to give him the “w”

All that being said, i still believe he won every round….just my opinion.
Furthermore, like i’ve stated previously…it takes TWO to make a fight and in my honest opinion Jake Shields didn’t do anything to make the fight exciting. Shields did not try to win the fight, he didn’t go all out, he looked weak and scared. He was definitely afraid of GSP and it showed.
