my daughter and her roommate made me play beer pong with them when they visited. how stupid is that game? they pay fees and enter tournaments down in the D.C. area where they live. i like the old favorite “Quarters”, or the dice game “Mexican” or even the old board game “Pass Out”. i haven’t played them games for over 20 years. brings back memories.
damn! now i want a cold one.

Technically, the real name for the game is “beirut”. Beer pong is played with paddles. You probably don’t like it because you’re old and hence shouldn’t still be playing drinking games.
beerpong is not stupid, it is awesome. I play it against my dad and his friends at our parties every year. He enjoys it, but I must say it is embarrassing when he wins. I have much more experience, but somehow the old man pulls out the win occassionally.
Beer pong/Beirut is a classic with many young college kids today just as the games you explained were popular when you were at an age when you were still partying. This game is extremely popular at the college from which I recently graduated and I can admit that I’ve had many a long, fun, late night playing some pong. It is kind of a disgusting game as the balls often fall on to the dirty floor and only receive a rinse before landing in your beer that you immediately guzzle down. This is just another way to spend some time with your friends while engaging in some friendly competition.
